The MRT inspection committee has finished the two-day evaluation on the MRT Luzhou Line including its system service,

and staffs' reactions to emergencies. According to the report, the overall performance was acceptable but the directional signs do need to be clearer to ensure a smooth sailing ride for the passengers.

This is a simulated emergency at the Luzhou MRT Line when theres a malfunction in the brakes, resulting in the doors of the subway cars unable to open properly.

Meanwhile, the staff at the subway station uses the public announcement system to guide the passengers out of the cars calmly and collectively.

Other than the brakes, there is also dealing with emergencies like flooding, which is another main training that the subway staff must learn how to react immediately.

Once the water level in the station reached a certain danger zone, an alarm will go off.

At the same time, the central control quarter will shut down all electricity immediately and the staff will evacuate all passengers and clear away all remaining cars.

Also, a 25-ton water-sealed bulkhead will be leveled down at the underground opening of the station to prevent flooding.

All of these are operated automatically and takes only 5 minutes for everything to be completed.

Other than checking if all staff is able to react accordingly to secure the passengers safety when emergencies happen, there is also the safety check of all the hardware in the system.

However, after this two-day simulation and survey, the officials at the MRT Company are not satisfied with the labeling of the routes of the subway lines.

Nonetheless, the opening of this line will definitely relieve some of the congestion between Taipei and Luzhou, but when this line will be ready, is for the officials to decide.
