For a Good Cause
Models are strutting down the catwalk, and thousands are gathering up in front of the Presidential Office for the first time to support a fashion show, hosted by the Taipei Women's Rescue Foundation.
Now here on CTS, let's take a look at this meaningful scene.
The fashion show was staged in front of the Presidential Office on Kaidagelan Blvd.
Kaidagelan Blvd is usually where people gathered to protest.
But for the first time in history on Saturday night, the street was closed off from Jing Fu Gate to Gong Yuan Road for the party.
The stage was 160 meters long with 70 models and thousands of spectators.
The entire street was beautiful and fashionable.
This fashion was held to raise money for Taipei Women's Rescue Foundation's 23rd anniversary.
The money raised will help more women who are suffering from abuse.
The theme of this show was every woman is beautiful, and attracted lots of stars because it was the first time a fashion show was held in front of the Presidential Palace.
For this night, the Presidential Office didn't have a political cloud hanging over it and there weren't sounds of protest, but instead, an air of freshness.
