This transposition means cardiopulmonary blood oxygen levels are not in balance.

Doctors said that TGA patients account for five per cent of congenital vascular diseases. Medical technology has been able to return the artery back to its intended position,

but it must be found early with surgery needing to take place ten days after birth.

Otherwise these infants may not be able to live two to three months of age.
