The 2010 Hohaiyan Rock Festival opened on Friday at the Fu Long beach of Taipei County. This years event features many of Taiwans pop-music luminaries such as Crowd Lu, Chang Chen-yueh and the award-winning band Sodagreen. At least half a million people are expected to join the three-day feast of rock music. Veteran singer Chang Zhen Yueh was the closing act playing in front of 150,000 fans dancing with glow sticks on the first day of the Taipei County Hohaiyan music festival. The annual event opened with the first day being Taiwan Night, as all performers are from Taiwan. In addition, the event organizer invited award-winning musician that are alumni of the event for home-coming encore performances, including the Ocean Star winner in 2007, Lu Kuan Zhun, who showed up with his signature bowl cut hairstyle and shorts for a special performance while the 2004 special judges award winning group Sodagreen opened this years event. The 11th annual music festival kicked off on Friday, lasting for 3 days as usual. All music fans can get to enjoy the festival with fireworks at night daily, feasting on viewing and listening pleasures in the summer.
