Kim Jong-il's heir apparent Kim Jong-un will not rule North Korea alone. It's emerged he'll have to share power with the military and his uncle, Jang Song-thaek, seen just behind him to the left in this picture. 　　Sixty-five-year-old Jang was the late Kim's brother in law. Two years ago he joined the National Defence Commission, the supreme council headed by Kim as head of the military state. The development's been revealed exclusively by Reuters. China special correspondent Benjamin Kang Lim. 　　Reuters China special correspondent Benjamin Kang Lim: "A source with ties close to Pyongyang and Beijing said that the North Korean military has pledged allegiance to Kim Jong-un, meaning there's unlikely to be a coup d'etat and they've basically thrown their weight behind the young Kim. 　　Now the post-Kim Jong-il North Korean leadership will be ruled by collective leadership instead of a single-man dictatorship so Kim Jong-un would have to share power with his uncle, Kim Jong-il's brother-in-law, as well as the military." 　　With North Korea preparing for the funeral of its late leader, the same source said North Korea carried out a missile test on Monday as a warning to the West not to interfere.
