PERRY TIES JACKSON WITH FIVE NO.1 HITS
Perry's latest single, "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) " has recently topped the chart, following her other number one hits, "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", and "E.T." from her third studio album, "Teenage Dream."
And as if not impressive enough, only the King of Pop, Michael Jackson had achieved this kind of success, with five number one songs on the Hot 100 chart from his "Bad" album, which was released in 1987.
It took Jackson nine months for his hits to make it to the top of the chart, while it took a year for Perry. However, Perry's tunes have spent a total of 18 weeks on the number one place, defeating Jackson's record of seven weeks.
