Williams, who was fired by the athlete earlier this month, told the media that he is now planning to write a book about his career, and will include an interesting chapter describing how it was like working with Woods. Williams was by Woods' side for the past 13 years and was on the bag for Woods' 13 major championships. He said he's very "disappointed" to end their partnership. Williams added, "I understand that's part of the game ... To be let go after staying incredibly loyal during the most difficult time in his life and then for him to decide that he needs a change, I think that the timing has been very poor,.. When Tiger went through the Tiger scandal, as it's known, I was obviously very disappointed in him, as everyone was. Obviously I lost a tremendous amount of respect for him ... and I told him that he had to earn back my respect." The two shared a tight bond in the past, with Woods and Willliams serving as grooms in their respective wedding parties. However, their relationship went sour after the scandal broke over Woods' extramarital affairs, with William publicly distancing himself from the golfer. Williams started working for Australian golfer Adam Scott, while Woods was recovering from his knee and leg injuries, leaving people to wonder if that was the reason for Woods' decision. Woods' words of "it was time for a change" marked an end to one of golf's most successful player-caddie partnerships. Asked if he's planning to write a "tell-all" book about his golf life, Williams replied that he would come out with a book once his career is over. Without the restrictions of a "confidentiality" clause, Williams is free to write about his days as Woods' caddie, and quoting Williams, "It will just be one of those interesting chapters in the book."
