A House Built on Love
Days will be warmer for this small family, who shares a tiny shelter that's barely 3 pings in size, which is roughly 100 square feet. The teenager, who lives with his grandmother refused to leave his only family member behind by turning down the school's offer to move him into the dorm. Upon hearing this touching story, a group of individuals has decided to step in to raise funds to assist the duo in renovating their home.
A small team of volunteers is busy cleaning out this three-ping shack for the 82-year old woman that lives here.
The shack has a number of leaks, but it is home for the woman and her grandson.
Fan Kao-tien, who entered high school this year, was raised by his grandmother.
When school officials became aware of his situation, they offered to move him into the school dormitory.
Fan, however, couldn't bear to abandon his grandmother and turned down the offer.
A group of Good Samaritans deeply impressed by Fan's maturity and filial piety then took it upon themselves to raise funds and build Fan and his grandmother a new home.
Fan says that he will work hard on his studies to repay his grandmother, and that home is wherever she is.
