Designers' Week Kicks Off
More than 300 designers are taking part in the fourth annual Taiwan Designers' Week, which opened on Friday. An environmental theme reigned at this year's event, which features creative green products such as stereo stands made of driftwood.
Pieces of driftwood were painted and crafted into an elegant stereo stand.
Another designer used her creativity and medical expertise to transform pill bottles into colorful candy containers.
She hopes that the bottles will create a new, positive image for hospitals.
In total, 350 local and foreign designers are taking part in this year's Taiwan Designers' Week, which opened on Friday.
The pieces exhibited at the event reflect the designers' perspectives on design and culture, and they were extremely well received by the public.
A high percentage of the pieces were inspired by the concepts of perpetuity and environmental preservation.
