10,000 Kisses
People are also attending the activity at Taichung's Yueh-lao Temple on Chinese Valentine's Day, the Chinese god who is believed to decide on one's marriage.People are leaving their kisses behind to get some blessings, and for a chance to win the grand prize from the temple.
In the early morning on the Chinese Valentine's Day, 40-year-old Mr. Chen, devoutly kneeling in front of Yueh-lao,
praying that the god would help him find his other half this year.
Before leaving, he put on a lipstick and left his kiss marks on the wall.
More people like Mr. Chen are coming to the Yueh-lao temple with offerings.
These three young ladies have brought candies and lilies for Yueh-lao, whispering their wishes to Him hoping that they won't spend another Valentine's Day alone.
In order to celebrate the special day with lovers and to help more people find their significant others,
the temple launches an activity and hopes to collect 10,000 kisses.
People, single or not, are welcomed to leave their kiss marks or kissing photos on the wall.
Participants will get the chance to win a big prize provided by the temple.
However, true love may be the only prize they hope to win now.
