LOPEZ, DIAZ TALK ABOUT MOMMY ROLES
Based on the non-fiction New York Times bestseller of the same title, "What to Expect When You're Expecting" follows the lives of five couples as they deal with the highs and lows of adjusting the next stage of life, which is parenthood.
When asked if the actresses are ready for children after playing in the baby-oriented film, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez say that they don't mind having kids or more kids.
Cameron Diaz: "I would love to have a family at some point, whenever that's meant to be. I have a lot of children in my life now. I'm an auntie for 15 years. I have a 15, 12, 11, and a 3-year-old, so my kid card is full."Jennifer Lopez: "If it happens, it will be a blessing,"
Lopez, who is mother to twins Max and Emma in real life, opens up about her steamy scenes with her on-screen husband, Rodrigo Santoro.
"It was funny, we knew right away that the characters were used to having fun, going out, living their lives, they're both kind of free spirits. They were very affectionate, which made the director uncomfortable. He's English. He was like, 'You guys, you don't have to kiss so much.' We're like, okay."
Many women have a difficult time dealing with the tough physical changes of pregnancy, including Elizabeth Banks' character, who faces all sorts of discomforts in the film.
Banks, who co-stars with Ben Falcone, is able to experience it firsthand with prosthetic breasts, which she describes as "grotesquely huge."
Banks: "Well you can buy the boobs online, apparently. They're monstrous. And they kept sliding into my underarm, and I had to keep popping them back up. They were very heavy and fun. There was a lot of playing with myself all day long because it wasn't going to last forever, so, get the goods while they're there."
"What to Expect When You're Expecting" hits theaters on May 18th in the U.S.
