MURRAY TO STAY IN JAIL DURING APPEAL
According to the latest court ruling, Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician convicted of killing Michael Jackson with a lethal dose of propofol, will have to remain in jail because he might flee if allowed out on bail.
Calling Murray a flight risk and a danger to society if he practices medicin again, Los Angeles Superior Court judge Michael Pastor turned down Dr. Conrad Murray's request to be released while he appeals his four year sentence for involuntary manslaughter.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in November 2011. He was sentenced to four years in jail. Despite receiving the maximum sentence, Murray will likely serve only half of his sentence due to jail overcrowding.
At Murray's sentencing, Pastor even called the doctor's treatment of Jackson a "cycle of horrible medicine" and "medicine madness," and treated the King of Pop like a "medical experiment," which led to his decision to hand down the maximum sentence.
