CLINT EASTWOOD HONORED BY LACMA
Legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood was honored at a star-studded fundraiser held for the Los Angles County Museum of Art. The inaugural event set in motion what organizers hope will be yearly celebrity-laden parties to support bringing more film exhibits to the LACMA.
Eighty-one-year-old Eastwood shared his thoughts on a career that has spanned six decades. Clint Eastwood:"It just keeps you going I think is the nice thing," smiled the man of the hour. "You just keep going because it's fun.
It's fun to have a career. Even if it's 60 years." A range of well-known celebs walked the red carpet, including Reese Whiterspoon, Uma Thurman and Stevie Wonder. British actor Dominic Cooper talked about why Eastwood is special to him.
Dominic Cooper: "Well, I grew up with his films, seeing him in films. Grew up admiring him as an actor and now as a filmmaker. So, he's sort of someone, who's kind of mystical. And, is he real? I'm going to meet him. I mean, I'm very excited.
He's an extraordinary filmmaker."Working on both sides of the camera, Eastwood has been involved in making 70 films. His latest offering is the upcoming movie "J. Edgar" starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role.
