A FREE-OF-CHARGE POPULAR DISH
At the end of today's edition, we'd like to take you to Yilan and introduce to you a special local dish, which, while extremely popular, is not for sale.
The dish looks somewhat like the Hakka stir-fry, it has dried fish and peanuts over chunks of fried pork that looks almost like chopped bamboo shoot.
The dish goes well with steamed rice, while some love to have some beer or wine to go with it.
The chopped fatty pork is deep fried in low heat to rid of excess fat, then stir-fried with mined garlic, Flos Caryphylli and red chili peppers and peanuts.
The owner of the stall only prepare the dish as a compliment to the guest and would not charge for it.
